The Communist Party's Third Plenum in Beijing concluded with a sweeping resolution on "further deepening reform" to advance Chinese-style modernization by the People's Republic's 80th anniversary in 2029.

The 22,000-character document covers fiscal and tax reform, the relationship between government and markets, household-registration policy, and the integration of high-quality development with national security imperatives.

Markets reacted cautiously, with analysts noting that headline language on private enterprise and unified national markets matched expectations but offered limited new detail on near-term stimulus.

Xi Jinping was reaffirmed as the "core" of the leadership, and the plenum confirmed the timing of the next party congress in 2027, when the current leadership line-up is expected to be partly renewed.
